Sophie Girl, April 3, 2005 Eastern Europe Sofia is a stunning little girl, with gorgeous light brown ringlets and striking blue eyes. She is 3 years old, and in need of a loving, patient, experienced family to help her achieve all she can in life. Her records indicate some cognitive delay, but her unofficial diagnosis is that of autism. Interested families should expect behaviors and delays on this spectrum. Sofia's family history is a difficult one...her mother is also delayed, and has not visited her at all. She lacked stimulation in the early part of her life, which did not help. She is currently living with a foster family and is doing very well there. At this time, from
our facilitator: "She has stereotypic movements of a
child with autism, turning her head to the right and left, and moving
her body from one feet to another. She can follow the group of
children when playing, but is not really participating. She has
unexpected attacks of anger. She is not talking, but is
"babbling". She is eating by Other than that she is healthy. She is under the regular control of the childrens' psychiatrist and is taking medication to control her outbursts." Sophie is a beautiful little girl with a great deal of potential. She will need an experienced, patient family. It is best for her to be the youngest in the family by many years. A family interested in adopting Sophie must be able to show extensive experience with autism and local resources to help Sophie achieve her potential!
There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony". Orphanage donations are not required. Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted. This is a very easy program, and we could get many children out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements. Please contact Andrea directly for more information I have $75 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption! |

Angie Girl, Born August 21, 2004 Angie is a darling little girl who unfortunately, has suffered at the hands of her biological mother :((
From our facilitator and her medical
records: " Angie was born 8/21/2004., admitted to the
orphanage at the age of 2 months and 16 days. She is the third
child, from the third pregnancy. Mother has been smoking during
the whole pregnancy. Angie was born in the maternity home. She was
hospitalized in the Children clinic from 10/12/2004 till 11/5/2004.
It seems she was abused from her mother. She hurt her little girl all
over her body. So, the pediatrician found many hematomas and other
lesions on her body.
Please give this princess a family to call
her own! Many more photos available.
There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony". Orphanage donations are not required. Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted. This is a very easy program, and we could get many children with Down syndrome out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements. Renee Girl, Born July 2007 Renee is a beautiful little girl who desperately needs a family and medical attention. It is clear that she was born with severe hydrocephaly, which has not been treated with shunts or surgery to release the fluid/pressure on her brain. We do not know if she has any other medical complications or conditions. At this time we do not know how this has impacted her brain or physical capacities, or even if she will survive much longer. But we could not turn away and leave her there, with no hope at all. Please contact the agency if you are strongly considering baby Renee, to write a no-cost, no-obligation letter of request to the adoption officials in her country to gain this information!

Natalia
Girl, Born March 6, 2003
SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!
Natalia is a GORGEOUS little girl with brown hair and giant blue eyes. She is almost 6 years old. She is a very smart little girl, but her medical records show cognitive delay and some epileptic issues. Her seizures are infrequent, and she does take medication to control it. Her cognitive delay is likely a result of the seizures though. She also has some strabismus (crossed/lazy eye), but this can be corrected in the US. Natalia is able to speak, and when our missionary asked her if she would tell us something – she was trying to rehearse a little poem! Natalia walks like a regular child. She is a very nice little girl, happy and friendly and beautiful. She will truly thrive in a family environment.
Natalia is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away! She recently lost her adoptive family, so her situation is urgent!

Diana Girl, Born March 2, 2004 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Little Diana is living on borrowed time. She recently "celebrated" her 4th birthday, but in an Eastern European orphanage, that is nothing to celebrate. Miss Diana was born with severe Cerebral Palsy, and will likely not survive her transfer to the institution. She is blessed to still be in the baby house. One of our own adoptive families who visited with her in March 2008 shared this with us about Diana: " This child has several medical problems and was described to me as “difficult” although it is based only on her diagnosis. She has Cerebral Palsy and is fed via tube. She spends her days tucked in a crib without any stimulation other than feedings and occasional diaper changes. Her crib is situated where she cannot even see the other children in the room, just the side of a table through her crib bars. I was asked whether or not I even wanted her picture but there is no way I could leave without it. I hope that her forever family is looking for her right now!" We are so prayerful that there is a forever family out there for every single one of the children we share here at Reece's Rainbow...and maybe even one for little Diana. Is it you?

Vicky Girl, Born May 31, 2005 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Vicky is the cutest little girl! She has strawberry blonde hair and giant blue eyes. She benefits from living in a small orphanage with loving staff and a caring director. Her delays are likely caused by prenatal drug use, but there is nothing in her records mentioning this. One of our adoptive families who visited with Vicky in November 2008 said this: "
I was blown away by beautiful
Vicki! She was very healthy looking - not too thin like other
children in her group. She was very well behaved and
responded well when I told her that she was a pretty girl (in
Russian). She's a lovely girl. She will blossom in a family!"
A missionary who visited there recently noted about Vicky: "Vicky is a very shy and quiet little girl, but, even though she was a bit wary of the strangers taking her pictures, she was quick to flash us her beautiful smile. She does not speak at this time. She is very sweet, loving, calm little girl. Vicky resides in a special needs orphanage but is not in the special needs room. She has been diagnosed with severe developmental delays, but seemed to interact well with her care givers and the other children in her group." According to the orphanage director, Vicky is significantly delayed and will need a very special, patient, experienced family. She is high functioning physically, and a very social and happy little girl. Vicky is facing the institution in May of 2009. PLEASE save her from this fate.

Deena Girl, Born April 6, 2005 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Diagnosed with mental retardation, most likely FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) Diana is a beautiful little girl with dark hair and brown eyes. She benefits from living in a small orphanage with loving staff and a caring director. A missionary who visited there recently noted about Diana: "Diana was very shy during our visit with her groupa, but she was very alert and observant and was always following us with her eyes. She resides in an orphanage for children with special needs but is not in the special needs room which suggests that she is able to feed herself, is possibly potty trained (or in the process of potty training as they train the children very early) and is able to play independently. She is able to walk and, although we did not hear her talk, she was not reported to be nonverbal. While Diana is developmentally behind for her age, with the love and attention of a family she will likely blossom! If you are unfamiliar with FAS, please spend some time researching this condition. Just as with Down syndrome, FAS and FAE have a wide variation of effects on each child, both medically, physically, and cognitively. This is typically dependent on how long during the pregnancy the mother consumed alcohol, and of course, how much. There is no way to know this ahead of time.

Nadya Girl, Born February 26, 2003 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!
Nadya needs a family! This beautiful little girl is not living the life she should be. :( Nadya has brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. Caretakers describe her as a really nice girl, has good, adequate reaction when people are talking to her, she is friendly, she speaks, she walks independently. She is also potty trained. Her medical records indicate mental retardation, but there is no specific diagnosis or cause for this cognitive delay. It could be totally institutional. She does not have any other noted health complications. She is a beautiful flower ready to blossom in a loving family environment.
Nadya's biological mother died in February 2005, and the biological father was never known. She is legally available for adoption NOW. Nadya is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away!

Olga Girl, Born November 30, 2004 From one of our own adoptive families who visited with Olga in March 2008: "Unfortunately this little one didn’t want her picture taken either and was crying even before I entered the room. I am told that she has Cerebral Palsy and was not able to get any other information on her personality or health condition." Olga is already 3 1/2 years old and is facing institutionalization this Winter.

Tori Girl, Born October 14, 2005 CP and Spina Bifida This little angel can just light up a room with her smile and her giggle. She is constantly happy, very alert and playful, and is an orphanage favorite. We are waiting for some new photos of her, but she is registered and available to be adopted now! She is almost 3 now, so will be living on borrowed time before she turns 4. Children from this orphanage are sent to the institution promptly on their birth date, so we are working hard to prevent that for this little sunshine. She will be bedridden for her short life if she is transferred. Please consider rescuing Miss Tori! Regrettably, this orphanage is one of the poorer ones, with very little outside aid and very little hope. All of the children are tiny and undernourished. These children are immediately transferred at 4, and have little chance of survival where they are sent. All of our waiting children need families, but these have a critical need. Please consider one of these children soon!! |
