Maxim Boy, Born May 21, 2001 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Little Maxim has been diagnosed with mild CP, but despite that, he listens well to what caretakers tell him, they refer to him as a nice boy, single him out, say he is friendly, and that he seems to have really good developmental potential. Maxim walks independently, usually goes to the bathroom independently during the day, with motivation...he should really blossom in a loving family. Please consider Maxim to be your new son and give him the opportunity to live his life to the fullest!

Freddie Boy, Born June 4, 1995 Eastern Europe Freddie is an amazing little boy who needs a chance to have a loving family. He struggles with a mild form of epilepsy, but it is on medication each day that has been successful in controlling it. He is living in a regular orphanage for typical children, although normally a child with this "disability" would be sent to an institution. He is an orphanage favorite, and the director there wants him to have a family so badly. Freddie is a beautiful boy with dark hair and brown eyes. He is calm and friendly and affectionate and very very smart. His mother died when he was only 3, and his father's rights were terminated in 2006, so he so desperately needs a mommy and a daddy who will never leave him. From our missionary who has visited him and assisted with child hosting programs from his orphanage recently: "
I'm hosting other kids from his
orphanage and visit with him all the time. Unfortunately, this is
not the first hosting we're doing from this orphanage and we were
not able to find a family to host him because of his epilepsy. I
went to his orphanage the other day again to take new photos and
chat with the director - and Freddie took me out by the hand and
asked "why do other kids go to U.S. and get adopted and me not - is
it because I have epilepsy?" And tears came to his eyes.... and I
thought I will kill or die but to find a family for him. I changed
the subject and we talked about other things and he struck me again
by being so smart and logical. He is just a great boy and I really
hope you can help find a family for him. I have not given his info
to anybody except my hosting partner agency, and they pretty much
told me that they won't be able to host him and I need to find
somebody to adopt him. Other children love him and take special care
of him. The director went on about that – I almost cried when she
said: “It’s amazing how all kids in our orphanage help him. He had
a seizure once and another boy put his own hand into Freddie's mouth
to make sure he does not bite off his tongue…”
This incredible little boy needs you!!! Please adopt him before he ages out and can't be adopted any longer!

Jacqueline Girl, Born April 23, 1997 Eastern Europe Jacqueline is a beautiful 11 year old who was saved from an institution recently. She has probably endured horrors we could never imagine, but she has lived to tell about it and is still smiling! Jackie was born with congenital arthrogryposis
multiplex. She is considered significantly developmentally
delayed, but based on the observation of our facilitator and her
psychologist and developmental pediatrician, she is only mildly delayed.
Considering the environment in which she was raised, she has been
stimulated very poorly...but she has progressed SO MUCH in such a short
period of time since she was remove from that place. Her speech,
vocabulary, understanding are just amazing. Jackie's pediatrician thinks she has much potential, and she can learn how to read and write. She started to get some stimulation last year and is progressing very well. She can use her hands, but with support one hand with another. It's very well know that children born with this condition are mostly mentally sufficient.
There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony". Orphanage donations are not required. Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted. This is a very easy program, and we could get many children with Down syndrome out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements. Please contact Andrea directly for more information I have $0 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption! |

Dalibor Boy, Born October 2, 2002 Dalibor is almost 6 years old and waiting for his family! He has dark hair and dark eyes. He was born prematurely. He was blessed to not have any medical complications from this, but he is significantly cognitively delayed. He attends a special needs kindergarten, where he is doing very well. Although he is working on it, Dalibor is still not toilet trained. He is eating independently, and needs some help in dressing and undressing. He is not speaking yet. He does understands simple orders. Dalibor is very quiet...not aggressive...very calm and pleasant. He is very happy when somebody pays attention to him!! (aren't we all?) Prefers to play alone, but loves musicand loves to participate in simple activities. He is an orphanage favorite, and they all hope to find a family for him! Full medical information available.

Damon Boy, Born March 30, 2001 Eastern Europe What a darling little boy! Damon is 7 years old now. He struggled with mild neonatal asphyxiation at birth, and some respiratory distress. He is a very healthy, normal little boy, but he is considered delayed. Both of his parents are listed as "mentally delayed". From our facilitator: "Damon attends a kindergarten for special needs children. He is a tall, active boy with brown hair and brown eyes. He is calm and timid, but a very cheerful boy. He is very dear, and there are a lot of adult persons who love him very much. He is not a very demanding boy, and shows his happiness with small things that make him happy. He prefers individual contact, and is cooperating well. Most of the day he is playing alone, not trying to make contacts with other children. His motor abilities are good, although he always needs support when going downstairs and out. In the backyard he is playing freely, but is always looking for a person who took him there. When someone tries to compromise his playing he asks for help his preschool teacher calling her by her name. But he also knows to defend by himself. He started to talk/has several words. He likes to play with car toys and to draw. Together with his teacher he likes to look at the picture books. He is extremely happy when you tell him nice words and hug him. He is eating very well, independently. He likes sweets the best! He knows how to dress of his jacket and the shoes and knows his place at the table. Not toilet trained yet. He cries rarely, and is mostly in the good mood. We think he acts well in the group, and is constantly progressing. He makes contacts with the others easily and is responding to the stimulations of the others very well. He needs complex stimulation of the adequate developmental specialists, and above all love and stimulation of his forever family. He is considered by his psychologist as significantly developmentally delayed. His preschool teacher loves him very much, and thinks he will be a real joy any family who will adopt him."

Lena Girl, 14 years old Eastern Europe Lena is a lovely, blonde haired teenage girl, who so wants a family of her own! She comes to us from a family who recently adopted from this boarding school. Words from that family: "Lena (in red shirt) is a 14 BEAUTIFUL, LOVELY girl who is READY to be part of an American family. Her paperwork is in Kiev and she is expected to be available in April/May 2009. Background: We adopted our daughter Katya this past winter. She now lives in the Dallas area with our family. Katya is one of the most amazing, bright, sweet children you will ever meet! While in the orphanage, we met Lena, one of Katya’s best friends. The photo of the girls at the piano is our daughter with Lena. Lena is not only beautiful and sweet, she is also amazingly talented. She competes all over Ukraine in singing competitions, often winning the top prizes. She is a gem! The other photo is the 3rd girl in their little trio of friends, Masha, who was also fortunate enough to be adopted by an American family. Like Katya, Masha has adapted amazingly well to her new family and is an amazing kid as well. Lena is sure to be as wonderful a daughter as her two best friends have turned out to be, and we are determined to find her the family she deserves before she gets too old and ages out of the system! Lena has been in the orphanage for a few years. We have heard a couple of different stories as to how she ended up there, but it all the stories point to the fact that she was somehow burned either by a fire in her home, or a pot of boiling water. She was brought to the hospital and abandoned by her family. She does have some physical scars of the accident, but they are not noticeable unless she points them out to you (she has some burn scars on her abdomen, and she lost a couple of fingertips which you can see in the photo lena2). Her scars are not debilitating in anyway. According to our daughter, Lena is every family’s dream child! She is loving (we can attest to that with the smothering of hugs we received from her every day at the orphanage!), sweet, smart, talented and well-liked by everyone who meets her. She also is very contentious about right and wrong, and deliberately chooses friends who she knows are good influences on her life, which is not an easy task in an orphanage. We spoke to one of the teachers in the orphanage, and she also attested to how wonderful Lena was and how desperately this girl deserves a family! Please, if you have room in your heart and home for this little girl, give her the family she deserves!"

Simon Boy, Born January 5, 1999 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Simon is a handsome young
man with limitless potential! He is 8 years old, and has brown hair
and brown eyes. He has mild CP. He can not walk fully
independently yet, however he moves by crawling and crawls all over his
room. He actively plays with toys, usually while laying in bed. Simon
can speak and repeat certain phrases but not clearly. His speech definitely
needs more work, it's not a speech of a healthy child at this age, but he is
obviously trying. Due to lack of staff in the orphanage to take care of
children - Simon's care level is limited. He can be placed in a
wheelchair (one for the entire floor) but he is not put there frequently.
Due to Simon will move mountains if you help him!

Marjan Boy, Born June 28, 2001 Eastern Europe Marjan is a sweet little boy! He has mild global delays. He has struggled since before birth. Marjan was born a twin at 32 weeks gestation. His twin died shortly after birth. His apgar score at 1 minute was only 1, and 3 at 5 minutes. Despite these early problems, Marjan is doing so well! He is developing well, as he is living with a foster family instead of in the institutional orphanage setting. But he will really take off in a loving, forever, adoptive family, with access to proper early intervention, special education and medical care. He needs a family who believes in him! This photo was taken about 18 months ago.

Mara Girl, Born March 27, 2000 Eastern Europe This beautiful little girl also came to us from the
same institution as Jacqueline (listed blow). From our facilitator: This little girl needed so
much help developmentally where she was living, but nothing was done
:(( Nonetheless, she is a fighter. She has very good nature,
understands everything, and tries to obey what you ask from her.
She is walking without support, although is not very stable.
Her speech is very delayed. I pushed the speech pathologist from our
orphanage to start with the therapy ASAP. She has only several
words right now: yes, no... There are a growing number of Apert Syndrome support groups in the United States, who will be of much help to any family considering adopting Mara!! http://www.apert.org/ and http://www.specialchild.com/archives/dz-020.html may be of some help to you!

Karen Girl, Born January 12, 1996 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Karen is the older, biological sister of Chrystyna, listed below. She is a beautiful Roma girl with dark hair, dark eyes, and olive skin. She is 12 years old. She is healthy and smart and has no diagnosed special needs. She goes to school and has no negative behavioral issues. She is just a pre-teen in need of a loving family! Karen and Chrystyna are living in different orphanages, but in the same region. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but our facilitator says it may be possible to adopt them separately. If you might be seeking a sibling set, please inquire! Both girls need a loving family!

Mira Girl, Born May 28, 1996 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Mira is a gorgeous Ukrainian beauty! She is 11 years old and has brown hair and brown eyes. She struggles with periodic epileptic episodes, but has not had one in more than a year and a half. She does not have any other health issues, and is a favorite among her caregivers. She will make a wonderful daughter! Mira will be "on the street" when she turns 16, with no financial help, no place to live, and no real way to care for herself. Many teens who "graduate" from their boarding schools end up committing suicide, or in drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. Mira has so much potential, and her life doesn't have to end up like this. Please give Mira a chance! We hope to be able to get more info if we have an interested family. Please inquire!
