Siblings
Although it is often a harder adjustment to adopt more than one child at the same time, siblings are really special, and it is such a blessing any time a sibling group can remain together!!

Elisey (Boy, Born September 27, 2006) Evangelina (Girl, Born August 2, 2005) Elizar (Boy, Born September 12, 2004) Moisey (Boy, Born August 6, 2003) It is my own heartfelt prayer that a family, a very brave family, come forward to start and complete their family with this incredible sibling set of 4 beautiful blonde children!! This sibling set includes two healthy, typical boys, one blind boy and one blind girl. One of our own adoptive families who visited with them in March of 2008 shared this with us: " There is a sibling set of four which are all ADORABLE children! Four little blondies and all are very sweet! The children are each a year apart- the youngest is a typical child born in September 2006 and has just learned to stand (the other three children are all walking). The next older is a sweet little girl. She smiled and laughed and was obviously well liked by the caretakers. She is said to be blind, but I was told by the doctor that took us around that the eye condition is believed to be correctable with surgery. The next is an absolutely beautiful little boy with light blonde hair and blue eyes. He has a smile that just grabs you and is a bright, lovable, and obedient little guy. The oldest child is another little boy and he, too, is blind. He has a cute smile and both the boy and girl liked the flash of the camera. The oldest seems to have some cognitive delays as well. They are a set that is difficult to place because of the eye issues with two children but all of them deserve a loving home to grow up in!" What an amazing, glorious gift of life you would bestow upon this sibling set, who will likely never be adopted because this country tries very hard to keep the siblings together. Please consider sharing your heart and your home with these gorgeous, deserving children! This wonderful sibling set will be available in September 2009.

TWINS! Sandra & Slavka Girls, Born February 27, 2003 Sandra (on the top with darker hair) and Slavka are twin little girls in Eastern Europe. They both have brown hair and giant brown soulful eyes. Aren't they beautiful? They were born with West Syndrome. Both girls are very social and loving and enjoy being held and played with. They both have a very sweet and pleasant nature. Both girls are significantly cognitively delayed, but have been attending kindergarten for children with special needs since June of 2007 and are doing very well there. The staff and doctors are very pleased with the girls' developmental progress. They walk independently and their gross motor skills are very good. Their greatest need is that of speech. Neither girl is verbal, but they also do not have any speech therapy. They have great potential for use of speech and communication with this help! West syndrome is basically epileptic seizures. They both take medication for convulsions and are under regular care of a neurologist. With medication, neither girl has had any episodes, so the neurologist is actually reducing their dosages. These precious sisters will make a wonderful addition to any family, and will really blossom with the appropriate therapeutic and educational assistance!
There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony". Orphanage donations are not required. Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted. This is a very easy program, and we could get many children with Down syndrome out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements. Please contact Andrea directly for more information We have $18 in our grant fund towards the cost of our adoption!for Sandra and Slavka

Chrystyna Girl, Born January 17, 2002 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!
Chrystyna is a beautiful, blonde haired, brown eyed girl who deserves a chance at a better life! Her official orphanage papers say she has developmental delays/difficulties from birth, but nothing more specific than that. Her biological mother was deprived her parental rights in December 2004, and the biological father is not known. Chrystyna has so much potential, and will be a precious gift to any family who adopts her.
Chrystyna is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away!
Chrystyna does have a sister. Her name is Karen and she is listed above. She does not have any diagnosed special needs. If you are interested in adopting both girls, you can do so, or Chrystyna is free to be adopted separately. Please inquire!

Lukas, # 3 Boy, Born on November 11, 1998 LATVIA Lukas is 8 years old, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. He has Down syndrome. He is described as calm and joyful. Even at 8, he is still trying to master walking, but with continued physical therapy and lots of "encouragement", he will get there! He is able to feed himself but still needs some help in staying focused. His receptive language is very good, but he does not speak yet. Lukas was born with a heart condition. Lukas has two younger brothers who are also available for adoption, if you might be interested in adopting as sibling group. However, Lukas CAN be adopted separately.
Regrettably, a photo will not be available prior to the submission of your formal dossier. :(( However, you can request to be given the referral photos of multiple children from this list so you can choose at that time. Please contact Victoria Kats at About A Child for more information. |

Nick &
Nastya Boy, Born May 17, 2004 Diagnosed with CP and Mental Retardation/Typical SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! Nick is a very special, very needy little boy. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He is quite weak from being bedridden due to his CP. Even though he benefits greatly from being in an orphanage which receives humanitarian aid, and has a loving staff and a caring director, he needs a family. A missionary who recently visited this orphanage says this of Nick: "We were able to spend quite a bit of time with Nick since he was neighbors with our son. Nick is a sweet little boy who desperately needs a family. He spends his days confined to a crib since he is unable to walk, talk or feed himself. When Nick reaches the age of 4 he will be transferred to a mental institution where the chances of being adopted a almost nonexistent and the mortality rate is very high. It is our observation that many of Nikita's issues are magnified by the fact that he receives little to no stimulation or attention aside from daily care such as diaper changes and feedings. Nick is able to push up to his hands and knees and rocks himself back and forth. It is likely that, with therapy, he would be able to walk. While Nick's issues are significant and will require lots of love and patience from his forever family, there is no doubt that he will thrive with the medical help he so desperately needs along with the love and attention of a family. Nick is significantly delayed and will need a great deal of focus and commitment from his adoptive family. The ideal family would have older, self-sufficient children, so Nick would become the youngest in the family and have the total focus on him. A stay-at-home-mom would be ideal. Nick has a twin sister who is "typical". Her name is Nastya. The children would need to be adopted together.

Charlie and Harry TWINS Boys, Born September 24, 2007 Charlie and Harry are two precious little boys who were born prematurely. One complication from that early birth was blindness, for both boys :( We are waiting for more info on the boys' medical records, but these two little ones need a very special family, one with experience with blindness and braille and likely with some learning and cognitive delays (from their prematurity). Please consider adopting these two little angels, and help them *see* the world they never will from the inside of an orphanage.

Eve & Dana Girls Eve in orange and denim, Born September 1, 2005 Dana in hair bow, Born February 1, 2004 SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!! These two beautiful little girls are waiting for their "forever family"! The girls have the same mother, but different fathers. They live in the same orphanage, but not in the same groupa. Eve has light brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes. Her official diagnosis: Slight mental delay. Delay of psycho-speech development. Hip dysplasia. Hard palate defect. Secondary defect of the upper lip, nose after left-side ileoplastics.
One of our adoptive families visited with Eve in October 2008, and had this to say about her : " Eve checks out the world quietly, and then decides what she wants with serious determination. She has decided that she wants a mama who will take her "paka paka" (bye bye) too! She can walk well and makes beautiful, direct eye contact. Eve is not going to sit and let the world pass her by. She asks for what she needs and when at first she does not succeed at something, she tries and tries again. She reaches for people and asks for affection. When she is in your arms she responds to your voice and your facial expressions. She babbles and interacts appropriately and is quite engaging. This little one would do well in any family. Eve realized that we came to get Georgie every day, and one day she saw me waiting at the door. She looked around the room to see if a caregiver was watching (they were in the bathroom cleaning Georgie) and she got off her chair. She held her little arms up while walking to me , maintaining solid eye contact with me the entire walk across that room. when she came close enough to me, she threw herself into my arms, looked into me eyes and said very clearly: " MAMA! Paka, paka!!" She does this every single day. Some days the caregivers don't allow her to come to me, and she will cry (heartbreaking!) and call out to me " Mama! Mama!" The times that I am allowed to hold her, she snuggles in and we "talk" together for a bit. When we leave the groupa, she throws herself down and cries big tears. She is so ready to have a mama and papa who will come take her home! "
Dana has platinum blonde hair, also with striking blue eyes. Her official diagnosis: Spastic cerebral palsy. Epileptic reaction, remission for over a year. Convergent squint. Cytomegalovirus, latent form. She is walking on tiptoes. She is very smart and repeats many English words. Both girls are very smart and active, and are walking and talking and quite self-sufficient! They are living in the same orphanage together still, BUT CAN BE ADOPTED SEPARATELY. Please consider adopting them now, so they can grow up in a loving family and have all the support and therapy and medical care they need!
