Angel David Ecuador Boy, Born October 28, 2003 Angel David has had a rough start to his life. He lived with his parents and siblings at home until he was almost two, but he suffered through significant malnutrition and several bouts of pneumonia during that time. He is 4 1/2 already, but is considered moderate to severe delay in terms of his abilities for his age. This is not necessarily an indicator that he will not improve greatly, just a sign of his difficult beginnings and spending the last 2 years of his life in a foster home/orphanage with 18 other children in a 4 bedroom home! Despite all of this, he is doing very well health-wise, and does not have any hearing, vision, or cardiac problems! His immunizations are up to date, he has received dental care, and is just waiting for his forever family to find him! Recommendations from the Orphanage and Team of Professionals: Angel needs a lot of affection. It is suggested that his fine and gross motor skills be stimulated by interactive games with the adults who care for him. Angel must continue receiving support in all areas, especially in language and motor skills. It is suggested that the child be conversed with frequently, that physical contact be frequent whenever he is involved in an activity. At this current time, Angel does not include others in his environment, for which it is suggested that it be initiated the involvement in his activities other adults, and slowly also involve other children to stimulate his interaction. Angel is a child that needs to be touched, kissed, caressed and massaged. …He needs to be spoken to frequently.” Total agency and country fees are only $13,000. (This does not include travel or INS costs).

Josue (Ecuador) Born May 3, 2005 My name means "God is salvation" Josue is a handsome 2 year old little boy living in Ecuador. His mother is Ecuadorian and his father is African (black). He was abandoned at birth, and previously had a family committed to his adoption, but Josue is still in need of an adoptive family at this time. He does have a heart murmur, but his condition is not considered life threatening. He will need to see a pediatric cardiologist when he gets home. Josue's receptive language is very good, but like most other children with Down syndrome, he does not have any real spoken words yet. He will benefit greatly from speech therapy. His gross motor skills are good and he has good muscle tone. He is ready to begin walking on his own now, so he is making good progress! He is a very happy and social child, and gets along very well with other children and adults. He is still very tiny, only 13 pounds! Josue will make a wonderful addition to any family!! Total agency and country fees are only $13,000. (This does not include travel or INS costs).
